Getting the bike home. Help!?
Im driving down to Pittsburgh (6 hours away) to get my bike. Im buying a 06 gsxr 750. I have absolutely no way to get it home. I dont have a trailer hitch and i really dont want to dish out $300-$400 on a uhaul. I dont have my license or insurance. I have my permit and about 5 years of dirt bike experience. My buddy with the same back ground as me did the same thing, but scaled down (rode 50 miles home) and he was fine. He told me i could use his plate for the day. How hard is it to ride home your first time? is it to risky? Is there any way to get it insured and registered in pennsylvania when i live in new york? Im not getting my license until my MSF class on the 16th and i dont think the guy will hold my bike till then. Thanks
p.s Try not to flame me for my first street bike being a 750 sport bike. I got a really good deal.
Rent a Pickup truck or a van for a day $50-60.00 .
