Living in New York … Help with apt hunting.?
My God, the apartments are too expensive … Does anyone know where I can find ads local is not a broker? I work in downtown, but I am not a financial guru who makes $ 100 mil. I make about $ 55k and the State of New York 40x rental property, only I can give a place (studio or one bed Teeny) of $ 1375 covers … no roommates or actions. Long shot I know … but … Everyone knows the bulletin boards Backpage craigslist classified and its more real? The New York Times and Rent.com, blah, blah … they are all through brokers. Ideally I live in Manhattan – although you have to live in the UES or UWS in 115 … I'm trying to avoid Queens Bronx, Brooklyn, New Jersey, so now, because I know I can give these places … but for Manhattan I need to research as much as possible before diving. Any ideas? I'll help you if you help me to Boston to New York! 
I lived in New York for years, of Brooklyn Manhattan ever, because the prices are outrageous, try to Brooklyn Heights or Park Slope, which are a little cheaper than Manhattan
