What are good areas to stay in New York? I am a tourist looking for a hotel on Priceline / Hotwire.?
Looking for cultural visits, shopping, Broadway, restaurants, explore, etc, but at the same time, try looking at my expenses, and not fall into tourist traps.
Forget the center City, Chinatown, Soho and the Lower East Side. hotels in these areas are expensive, and the dozen new hotels have sprung up there all the luxury, boutique or> $ 300 per night. it is best to stick to Midtown (near all transportation options) and find a clean place.
