A piece of classical music called Sharda D minor …?
This question is dark and strange. I live in New York. A few years ago In the eve of Halloween, I heard on WQXR radio playing a song, I think, called "Sharda in D minor." If you ever hear again, I'm delighted. It was a sinister fun at the same time. I vaguely remember it was a Russian composer – or Shastakovich Rachmaninoff. It is So here is where the questions begin. Is it "Sharda in D minor ", the name of a specific piece, or a description of a body of work or type of song? And by whom? Anyone know why?
I think I heard was "Czardas", written in 1904 by Vittorio Monti (1868-1922) Czardas Hungarian dances are popular, and is the most famous original key one.The is the MS. It is a sort of National Anthem of the Gypsies. This is an exciting piece starts slowly and ends in a delirium.
