Moving to New York. Advice!?
I have 20 / F PA campaign. For about a year, I had an identity crisis. I am not satisfied confused at the university, and no longer have time or money to waste. Well, I want to live at home to save money this summer and move to New York this fall, perhaps, if I have the right finance. I am a little idealistic (In fact, very idealistic!) But I'm serious about this work. I have a portfolio of models, but I am aware that would have trouble finding work, to see that New York is primarily a way of modeling, so I'm used to business models in Philadelphia (I'm 5'7 "). I need to find a job and hopefully deal with modeling work when I'm in town for a living and pay bills. I'm looking for some advice on jobs for 20/21 year old females, bills, money, meet people, hiring, shaping of cities, or something to do with the success in the city! All the details! Do not want to fail and have to come to mourn my parents! Thanks everyone!
I agree with the Belle Caribbean. It is a great place to be but very expensive. My boyfriend and I have interesting jobs in the city, yet be careful with our finances and live in New Jersey! Our rent a small a bedroom on the opposite side of Hudson Midtown is $ 2,100. Just prepare for the rising cost of living. You definitely need a steady job. I suggest looking outside Manhattan for a living is more reasonable. I live in New Jersey on the ferry and the water is 6 minutes in the center of … not bad. There are many areas in Jersey are beautiful … Hoboken, Port Imperial, Edgewater and can also be considered Brooklyn, Queens (Astoria / LIC are welcome). You can get an apartment near the city, but much more reasonable. Good luck to you!
